Welcome to Paisley Petunia…part two!
I find inspiration in pretty pictures, endless possibilities in a bowl of Meyer lemons, the meaning of lifetime devotion in the wagging tails of our 3 rescue dogs, end-of- the-day bliss in a glass of red wine and now, the boundless, soul clutching meaning of life in the faces of my 2 little angels.
It's a happy, creative, joy-full life we've got here in the LA sun. Come play! Bring wine.

So long summer…
It’s official-Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer. Vacation rentals are ending, beach toys are packed away until next year, the gang from Gossip Girl are heading back from the Hamptons, kiddos are marched off to school with sharpened pencils and shiny lunchboxes, the Pottery Barn fall catalog is in the mailbox and those of us feeling the heat look forward to a little crispness in the air. I am finally heading off to my summer vacation and since I’ve had so long to think about it I know exactly what I am going to be doing for the next week or so. How are you all spending these last treasured days and what is on your fall must have shopping list now that flip fl0p’s and sundresse’s days are numbered?
I’ll be relaxing at the Connecticuit shore …

{eating plenty of lobster rolls}

{enjoying the last sweet nibbles of summer watermelon}

{washing it all down with delicious mint-limeade}

{thinking about the start of college football (Go Wildcats!)}

{and daydreaming about a trip to see the leaves change}

Lobster rolls at the shore has to be one of the top 5 ways to spend the weekend! Have a blast!

I may be the only one in the blog world that wants to hold onto summer forever? Everything is just better in the summer.
Have a fabulous trip, I’ll keep down the fort and the pups. Enjoy your vacation with J!
xoxo
I so miss Fall in NJ. It’s just not the same in Texas. As a result…I’m not that sad that summer is ending since it’s the same as fall down here!
Enjoy! I am on the CT shore, what town are you visiting?
