I find inspiration in pretty pictures, endless possibilities in a bowl of Meyer lemons, the meaning of lifetime devotion in the wagging tails of our 3 rescue dogs, end-of- the-day bliss in a glass of red wine and now, the boundless, soul clutching meaning of life in the faces of my 2 little angels.

{Saddlerock Ranch is gorgeous!!}
Yesterday was the Los Angeles Magazine: Food and Wine Event- From the Vine 2009 in Malibu at the ridiculously gorgeous Saddlerock Ranch/Malibu Family Wines (which is one of the loveliest places I have been in a good long while.) It was a perfect Indian Summer day with leaf dappled grass, warm sunshine and cool breezes (breezes that bordered on tornadoes every so often resulting in upside down umbrellas, tables, wine bottles, etc.) There were so many restaurants and wineries we did our very best to visit them all but somewhere around taste # 60 we started running out of room. The collection of wineries was incredible and we certainly made an effort to sip as many as possible. DJ Richard Blade was spinning and everywhere you looked it was a famous foodie, food blogger or chef. Here are some of the highlights according to us!

**PS: Ivan Kane’s Cafe Was also won for the cutest, most entertaining chef. Incentive to go to the restaurant besides the food= meet Chef Reznik**
