Welcome to Paisley Petunia…part two!
I find inspiration in pretty pictures, endless possibilities in a bowl of Meyer lemons, the meaning of lifetime devotion in the wagging tails of our 3 rescue dogs, end-of- the-day bliss in a glass of red wine and now, the boundless, soul clutching meaning of life in the faces of my 2 little angels.
It's a happy, creative, joy-full life we've got here in the LA sun. Come play! Bring wine.

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is the Spinach Stuffing that my Nana makes. It is an Italian recipe with Italian sausage, spinach + raisins. Its bright green and used to freak me out as a kid, but now I dream about it and eat the leftovers for as many meals as it will last…Happy Thanksgiving!
Pumpkin Pie! I will make at least three pies every year. One for the dinner, and then two for me to eat all by myself fo the next few days/week. I will eat it breakfast lunch and dinner! My mom always said when I was little that it didn’t count as dessert cause it was mostly pumpkin, so I still live by this rule! I will eat so much of it I am usually sick of it by the time I am done….until next year! <3
My favorite Thanksgiving dish is the cornbread sage stuffing that my Mom always made. I have been trying for years to make it taste just like she did but haven’t quite gotten it yet. Also, Thanksgiving is when we start our Christmas wish list..everybody has to post their wish so Santa has plenty of time for shopping!
Oh this is an easy one…fav dish: sweet potato pie; fav tradition: getting up early to watch the Macys Thx Day Parade and strategizing a shopping plan to begin promptly at 6am on Black Friday!

My best friend and I created a Thanksgiving tradition by accident really. It was 2001, and we had both just moved to LA. Unable to be with our families for the holiday made us incredibly home sick and the thought of cooking our own feast didn’t feel quite right since we associated eating turkey and all the trimmings with our loved ones. So we decided to go out to eat. We went to Taverna Tony’s in Malibu and indulged in all the wonderful flavors of Greece. It was there that we decided to begin a tradition to dine at a different ethnic restaurant every Thanksgiving. This is our 8th year and this year we have chosen a Persian restaurant in Westwood. It will be baklava instead of pumpkin pie but truth be told I do really miss having a piece of pumpkin pie. Happy Thanksgiving!
Steamed persimmon pudding with fresh persimmon pulp, dried fuits, flour, eggs, cinnamon and spices, served hot, flambeed with brandy and topped with lashings of brandy butter. Easy to re-heat too… melt brandy butter and fry a slice until browned on each side. Delish!
