Welcome to Paisley Petunia…part two!

I find inspiration in pretty pictures, endless possibilities in a bowl of Meyer lemons, the meaning of lifetime devotion in the wagging tails of our 3 rescue dogs, end-of- the-day bliss in a glass of red wine and now, the boundless, soul clutching meaning of life in the faces of my 2 little angels.

It's a happy, creative, joy-full life we've got here in the LA sun. Come play! Bring wine.

Layer Cake

Hello from freezing Detroit! I am here for work for 7 days, blogging from my little hotel room and missing the torrential rains in California.

Last week, while putting off packing and looking for some fashion inspiration, I came across this post on The Stylista Diaries (linked from Glamour.com) – a really easy DIY idea to mixup your wardrobe: Layer your tights!

Textured and designed tights are big this year, you can see some of my favorites here. While its too chilly outside for a delicate fishnet, throw on a bright color underneath for extra warmth and a burst of color.

I tried a few combinations last week and really loved the look (its comfortable too because the lacy pair are so light weight).

  2. That is such a cool look (no pun intended)! Hope you stay warm and have some fun, we’re off to Chicago for several days, or I would invite myself down there to take you out to lunch!

    Sending you a smile,
    tp

  3. I’ve been doing this all week, since the cold front moved in. Such a nice way to feel warm and still look stylish. I’ll have a picture up tomorrow.
