Welcome to Paisley Petunia…part two!
I find inspiration in pretty pictures, endless possibilities in a bowl of Meyer lemons, the meaning of lifetime devotion in the wagging tails of our 3 rescue dogs, end-of- the-day bliss in a glass of red wine and now, the boundless, soul clutching meaning of life in the faces of my 2 little angels.
It's a happy, creative, joy-full life we've got here in the LA sun. Come play! Bring wine.

The Swingin’ Springs
My Birthday Party (aka New Year’s Eve) theme was to dress up in your fanciest Rat Pack Vegas Style. All the classy dames and gents came dressed to the 9s. (Pictures to come soon!). Coincidentally, this was my 2nd Rat Pack themed event of December and after spending copious amounts of time researching the RP members, style and hairdos I think I’m ready to put my hair up in a bouffant and live the glamorous life.
Trivia: Can you name all the members? There’s Frank, Sammy, Dean and … ???
And LA’s unusually warm winter weather has me dreaming of summer weekend getaways. While Vegas was their famed playground, Palm Springs was their retreat. Back in the day, Palm Springs was the go-to vacation spot for Hollywood’s royalty.
In the spirit of all things Rat Pack, check out these photos of FOTRP (Friend of the Rat Pack) Tony Curtis & Janet Leigh’s Palm Springs oasis:
Why, yes, I would love to spend the weekend at “Camp Curtis.”
Built by Roy Fey in 1960, its currently on the market for $1.29M.
Does it remind anyone else of that house that Don Draper ended up partying at during his foray/disappearance on the business trip to LA (end of Season 2)?

The other “outcasts of Hollywood” aka Rat Pack, were Peter Lawford and Angie Dickinson. Where is Joey Bishop? I guess you ran out of room.
And, yes, Don Draper would complete that photo!
Glad you had a Happy New Year’s Eve Birthday!
HAPPPY BIRTHDAY LADY!!!
I love this post.
Did you ever see the one I did on our Palm Springs wedding? I can’t remember if you were reading Strawberry Lemonade yet….but it’s right up yer alley!
