Welcome to Paisley Petunia…part two!
I find inspiration in pretty pictures, endless possibilities in a bowl of Meyer lemons, the meaning of lifetime devotion in the wagging tails of our 3 rescue dogs, end-of- the-day bliss in a glass of red wine and now, the boundless, soul clutching meaning of life in the faces of my 2 little angels.
It's a happy, creative, joy-full life we've got here in the LA sun. Come play! Bring wine.

I left my heart…
{The Bridge. Photo by S}
San Francisco will always hold a special place in my heart. Having grown up just outside The City, our visits were always highly-anticipated as kids. Taking the train each year to see the Macy’s Holiday window displays and the Nutcracker with my grandmother, bringing visitors to the quintessential tourists spots and usually buying them a SAN FRANCISCO sweatshirt because it was always colder than expected.
C is on her way up there later this week. Any good recommendations for her? New restaurants or boutiques to check out? Since I have never lived there as an adult, only the tried and true classic SF spots come to mind.
These photos by Jamie of my new favorite blog, From Me To You, really got me missing my City by the Bay:
Her blog is all things beautiful and full of wonder.

you know… i’m from the south bay and i never got to go to the city growing up. it’s sad to say but i’d get lost if i went there today. but whenever i’m there, i love it. definitely my kinda weather. we need to do a bay area trip. and you can have my mama’s home cookin!
I hope she has a lovely trip and thanks again for sharing my view of SF! So happy to be apart of your blog!
I hope I’m not too late! She should have lunch at the rotunda of Neiman Marcus in Union Square and then once she is done shopping that side of town, head over to the Marina District (Chestnut Street) to give those adorable boutiques a once-over. And if SF Ballet is still running the all-Balenchine program (I saw it last weekend, it was incredible) she should grab a seat for a performance at the Opera House!
SO I said I didn’t know anything new, but I think you would call the Ferry Building, new-ish. It wasn’t like that when I was little
Stop for Blue Bottle coffee, enjoy the farmers market, take in the view of the bridge shop the inside stores, grab a chocolate chip cookie at the French place in the back corner and then walk off the treats along the Embarcadero. xoxo
