Welcome to Paisley Petunia…part two!

I find inspiration in pretty pictures, endless possibilities in a bowl of Meyer lemons, the meaning of lifetime devotion in the wagging tails of our 3 rescue dogs, end-of- the-day bliss in a glass of red wine and now, the boundless, soul clutching meaning of life in the faces of my 2 little angels.

It's a happy, creative, joy-full life we've got here in the LA sun. Come play! Bring wine.

Road trip

{photo credit: phillip greenspun}

Every year, around this time my thoughts start to wander from important things like what’s for dinner and when is the dry cleaning ready to where are we going this summer. We try to take one big trip each August and little weekenders the rest of the summer.  While I love traveling….I hate flying so this year I decided we should do something without an airplane involved.  So, for 8 days in August we are going to drive up the California and Oregon coast and then spend a few days in Portland (yes, eventually I will have to get on the plane home from PDX but let’s not think about that for now.)

The trip is requiring loads of planning because I have to figure out where to go, how far we can drive in one day and if you know me at all…where do I eat?? Most Paisley vacations  involve a bunch of research on where to stay and what to do but the food is always our main focus.

So…my question is…who is an Oregon expert? Fill me in…hit me up with the best places to eat, snack, nibble, sip, shop, sleep, whatever. If there is something I need to see or more importantly taste…lay it on me. I’ve got to get hotels and day trips (including salmon fishing + golf for the boys, spa + shopping for the girls) booked right away.

You guys always have the best insider info. S + I have both taken trips where our readers helped plan our itinerary.
