Welcome to Paisley Petunia…part two!
I find inspiration in pretty pictures, endless possibilities in a bowl of Meyer lemons, the meaning of lifetime devotion in the wagging tails of our 3 rescue dogs, end-of- the-day bliss in a glass of red wine and now, the boundless, soul clutching meaning of life in the faces of my 2 little angels.
It's a happy, creative, joy-full life we've got here in the LA sun. Come play! Bring wine.

Giveaway! BookSwim (like Netflix but for books!)
If you guys are anything like us you probably spend a fair amount of money on books. Between book club, vacations, beach reads, etc., the cost of buying all those books really adds up. PLUS, my bookshelves are overflowing and scarily sagging in the middle from being overstuffed. I have boxes of books in the garages, stacks of books in my office, books everywhere. I was an english major in college and I haven’t quite been able to let go of 4 years of required reading so I’ve been book hoarding from way back in the day. There are definitely some books I want to own so that I can always refer to them or just admire them from time to time, but in general I need to save that space and money for less noble purchases like these fringe shoes from Alexander Wang.
Lucky for me some genius person came up with BookSwim which is basically like Netflix for books. Plans start at $23.95 a month for 3 books (which is def less than I spend when I get sucked into the black hole that is a Barnes and Noble.) They have all the current titles and plenty of classics just in case you have a hankering to finally mow your way through Anna Karenina. Create your own book queue and after you’ve read it return in the handy pre-paid envelope. Piece of cake. It also makes a **great** gift for the reader in your life.
The groovy people over at BookSwim have offered us a 3 month, 3 book trial membership to give away to one lucky Paisley reader. To enter the giveaway leave a comment ON THIS POST and next Monday, June 21 we will randomly select one lucky winner at 3:00 p.m. EST. To our avant garde-international readers we are sad to report this giveaway is open to US residents only.

What an amazing idea…I can’t believe that it has taken so long to catch on…here is to a little conservation for loyal book club members everywhere!
Thanks for letting me know about this! Very exciting!
Isn’t that what libraries do? For free?
Why yes, the library is a great resource and I use it 90% of the time.
Shout out to the Abbot Kinney branch of the LAPL!
Unfortunately, the new releases that my book club members pick tend to have a really long wait list and we need to read them within the month.
I could use this sort of thing because the library near my house has a terrible selection of new releases. And my book club is totally into new reads! Thanks! Love it
This is such a great idea…why couldn’t I think of it?! Book clubbers are going to love it.
Sounds cool . . . especially because I am too lazy to run errands to the book store or library. I love the instant gratification!
Very exciting, although seems a little expensive, especially if I only have time to read one book that month…
WOW! I have been wanting to check this out for some time now….pick me, pick me!
very cool — thanks for once again sharing cool and nifty sites/ideas

What a fun idea! And such a great deal!
Fabulous idea, def going to check this out, although i do love the smell of library books
This is so much better than the library – esp with all of the budget cuts and the library hours being shortened! So excited!! Thanks for posting!!
I love the concept! thanks so much for doing this guys!
Fantastic concept! I’d wonder if many textbooks are included too…?
Cool idea. Nice you will not have to worry about due dates.
What a great idea! Count me in!
The first book I am getting is going to be kelly cutrone’s!
Genius! Pick me.
Great idea and I do read a lot!
If this means I don’t have to wait over a month for some of my library books, I’m in!
