D*Sponge City Guides
If you aren’t familiar with it, Design*Sponge is an AMAZING site that you can get lost in for hours. I have found myself bookmarking many of their Product Guides, DIY Projects and Before & After (click on those links for their archives, and be warned you may never leave…).
And now when I am preparing for a trip to a new city (first trip to D.C. coming this Fall!), or rediscovering a favorite (like my City by the Bay), I always consult the Design*Sponge City Guides. Divided up by neighborhood, the guides include in-depth lists for restaurants, shops, design stores, day trips and offer local information to get a real feel for the place. There are over 100 city guides, including international destinations like Zurich, Nottingham and Montreal.
