Welcome to Paisley Petunia…part two!
I find inspiration in pretty pictures, endless possibilities in a bowl of Meyer lemons, the meaning of lifetime devotion in the wagging tails of our 3 rescue dogs, end-of- the-day bliss in a glass of red wine and now, the boundless, soul clutching meaning of life in the faces of my 2 little angels.
It's a happy, creative, joy-full life we've got here in the LA sun. Come play! Bring wine.

Farmer’s Market Melting Pot Tour
Wow, this post has been sitting in my drafts WAY too long. I keep meaning to find the time to write up the story about our Melting Pot Tour of the Original Farmer’s Market at the corner of W. 3rd Street and Fairfax. Most people might know this from being next to The Grove, but there is so much history at the Farmer’s Market. Alexis & I celebrated her birthday by tasting local treats at many of the different Farmer’s Market stalls and then strolling west down Third Street to stop in on some local restaurants. I highly recommend taking this tour if you are new to town or a lifer. I learned so many fun interesting facts and not to mention we were completely full from all the tastings along the way. The guides are friendly, very knowledgeable about the history of LA, and have developed great relationships with the local merchants.
{The Original Farmer’s Market, Lex}
1st stop: Bob’s coffee & doughnuts [my favorite way to start the day]. This place taught me a whole new appreciation for the apple fritter. Their’s is to die for.
{the classic wooden shopping cart, my favorite english toffee & Thee’s Continental Pastries’ “Pink Elephant” cake}
{french restaurant for cheese + baguettes}
There were lots more samples that I didn’t get snaps off. It was so much food, we were in heaven. Next we left the Market and headed west down 3rd street.

{Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée}
{el carmen, one of our favorite bars}
And the highlight of the day:
{Meeting the JOAN of Joan’s on Third}
{Delectable treats from Joan’s to end the day}
