Welcome to Paisley Petunia…part two!

I find inspiration in pretty pictures, endless possibilities in a bowl of Meyer lemons, the meaning of lifetime devotion in the wagging tails of our 3 rescue dogs, end-of- the-day bliss in a glass of red wine and now, the boundless, soul clutching meaning of life in the faces of my 2 little angels.

It's a happy, creative, joy-full life we've got here in the LA sun. Come play! Bring wine.

Eat it. Make it. Grow it.

This weekend was so nice and….calm. Less traffic on the roads due to severe warnings ala Carmegeddon (DOT + Angelenos, job well done). We enjoyed a sunny, lazy afternoon wandering through the Eat Real Fest at Helms Bakery. I would also like to applaud the organizers – the event was really well laid out and organized. Food fests in LA can be overcrowded, expensive and lacking in food (ironically), but this one gets two thumbs up. Aaron would say anything that originates from Oakland must be good. And in this case, I agree. Our favorite part was the friendly volunteer staffed at each garbage station helping to direct you to use the appropriate receptacle - recycle, compost or landfill.  For our Bay Area friends, Eat Real Fest comes back to Jack London Square on September 23.
